Sr. Java/J2EE Software Developer | Raytheon | Washington, DC

Job Description:
The Sr. Java/J2EE Software Developer will be responsible for working on solutions and approaches for the Integrated Federal Employees Compensation System (iFECS) project within the Department Of Labor (DOL), for the Division Of Federal Employees' Compensation (DFEC). P rovide planning estimations and report to the Middle-Tier Lead. Work on day-to-day issues and escalations, review development team products for quality and consistency. Ensure that all processes are being followed, propose alternatives and interventions for issues. Monitor activity execution and follow-up with required actions. Review requirements as input to design process, as well as establishing design processes and applicable approaches. Provide status and issues to Software Development Manager.

Required Skills:

Qualified candidates must have the following:
  • J2EE, JAVA, EJB, RAD/WSAD (Exclipse), Websphere, XML, XSLT, Rational Tools, DB2, JSP, JDBC, JNDI, RMI/IIOP experience.
  • Must have at least 8-10 years software development/engineering experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline (or experience equivalent to a degree).

Desired Skills:
  • Business Objects, MS Project
